Cassette Store Day 2018 Release

Delighted to welcome this special and stunning act to our online store.

This Must Mean Something Awful' is a brief collection of songs from Edinburgh's Mt. Doubt put together in the flat shared by lead singer Leo and bassist James, a choice which was very much tied up with the nature of the song-writing itself.

The project evolved around the idea of setting up a mic and recording loose ideas for songs and then building around whatever skeleton had come together out of that process. The collection as a whole is much more low-key, restrained and assured than previous output. Choruses are largely left by the wayside in favour of meandering vocals and atmospheric instrumentation.
